This delightful two-part collection of poems about zoo animals written by the poet and 50 children is the result of a poetry outreach project in which poet Paula Green took some children through the zoo and asked them to describe the animals while concentrating on different aspects or writing poetry. Paula Green, is the 2005 Writing Fellow at the University of Auckland and the author of the poetry collections Chrome, Cookhouse, and Crosswind. Michael Hight is a painter who works in both the realist and abstract traditions.
