Helen Whitney is an acclaimed writer, producer and director who has more than 30 years of experience producing dramatic features and documentary films. Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero, Whitney's best-known film, was a PBS two-hour special on 9/11. Whitney has received many accolades among them an Emmy Award, an Oscar nomination, two Alfred I. du Pont Awards, a George Foster Peabody Award, an Edward R. Murrow Award and awards from The Writer's Guild of America and The Director's Guild of America. She has served as Director of the Board of Film Forum in New York City. Whitney has been artist in residence at six universities and is a highly sought after speaker.
