Understanding of aerosol spectroscopy in terms of microscopic/molecular properties is growing rapidly, along with understanding of crucial implications regarding atmospheric chemistry and physics, air pollution control, and health issues. Differences between fundamentally oriented research groups and groups working in applied aerosol spectroscopy have caused unnecessary challenges.
