Envision a great horse 19 hands and 3,000 lbs. Seated on the horse is a timy man who looks like an American Indian. He is dressed in buckskins and moccasins. he has a piston on his right hip and a shotgun in a rifle scabbard to the right of his saddle. He has gone through the Indian Removaal and escaped the trail of tears only because his white father came for him. His Indian mother had been killed by a white man when this man, Geet, was young and he vowed to find her murder and kill him when he was grown. His character is revealed and the dual nature of his being is shown throughout the story. He goes west to try to find his Indian family after his father is killed. He has many heartaches, adventures, and successes. One of my friends told me that reading it made her feel that she was there. If you find yourself feeling that you are there I have done my job. Geet certainly does his.
