In 2001, Rees began a comic strip on his Web site that depicted office workers and their vociferous and profane commentary on the so-called War on Terror. "Get Your War On" combines the original strips as well as new material created in the last three years.

David Rees debuted the comic strip Get Your War On on October 9, 2001, two days after Operation Enduring Freedom began. The strip ended the day that George W. Bush left office, January 20, 2009. Rees continues to maintain a blog, which covers topical political issues.
