English summary: The history of globalization was the focus of the 23rd working meeting of the Society for Social and Economic History in Kiel in 2009. Besides the introduction by Rolf Walter, the collection includes ten units and six secondary examinations. They cover a wide spectrum, ranging from the early Middle Ages to the present. The book contains systematic, economic, as well as empirical and historical-hermeneutic contributions. It thereby contributes to the multiple perspectives and qualitative complexity of the topic Globalization from a historical perspective. German text.
