Grandee and Her Silly Birds explore the imaginative play of a very silly grandmother with an unusual car and several silly birds.
Grandee entertains her granddaughters with bird finger puppets. Grandee ends up being entertained herself by real birds who actually become her real friends. Dede Barr Dunst has retired after 35 years in the early childhood field. Dede has worked for the community college system as a program coordinator in the early childhood education department. She graduated from Charlotte Country Day, Queen's University and UNC-Charlotte with a Masters in Education. Her two imaginative granddaughters inspired her to tell the story in Grandee and Her Silly Birds.Dede loves travel, reading and spending time with family and friends.
