Grandfather's Wrinkles

For ages 3-7. "Granddad," Lucy asks, "Why doesn't your skin fit you anymore? It's all crinkly." Granddad laughs and explains. "Those crinkles are called wrinkles. Every time I smiled an extra big smile I got a wrinkle to show for it." Lucy's pudgy fingers softly trace each crease of Granddad's line face as he tells her about the joyous event that caused that particular wrinkle -- his wedding day, the day Lucy's mother was born, his daughter's wedding day, and more. "And what are these two really deep long ones from?" Those are the most special, even though they're the newest." You'll never look at wrinkles the same way again!
