The Guided Notebook is a printed, interactive note-taking guide created by Kirk Trigsted to guide students through the eText and homework assignments.  The workbook asks students to:

• write down key definitions and work through examples
• insert paper to show their work on You Try it exercises and homework

In Kirk Trigsted’s course, 90% of the students who received a 100% on open notebook quizzes received an A, B, or C in his course.  He believes the Guided Notebook is an important part of implementing the MyLab™ Math course effectively.
