Gwok Choy

World War II memoir of a boy growing up in both China and the United States. It includes his family ancestry and unusual upbringing as a Chinese-American citizen forced to endure Dzo-Nan (during Sino-Japanese war periods), and recounts his father's personal trials as a second-generation overseas businessman. Ultimately it encapsulates a Chinese-American family's acclimation and gradual settlement in the United States as well as Gwok Choy's service in the Korean War.
