Vincent Pasternak is the aging founding physician for the Haven Medical Group, which also includes easy-going Keith Tamborer, Stanley the extrovert cardiologist and Evrette, the introvert and highly religious gastroenterologist. Vincent suffers from a growing jealousy and paranoia of his junior partners, whom he believes think him incompetent and want to replace him. His medical group is his life, his baby, and he will do just about anything to protect his position.This is interpersonal medical fiction at its best, and will appeal to anyone who has contact with healthcare professionals. Nurses, office staff, paramedics, administrators, doctors and most of all patients will recognize all these characters, their bizarre actions and perhaps relate to their sometimes irrational, emotional behavior.
