From rookie airman to flying officer, with seventy-nine bombing operations in his log book, the author recalls his night-time RAF adventures, flying in Lancaster bombers over Germany, and day-light action in B-26 Martin Marauders, supporting the 8th Army with SAAF in Italy.The reader will be treated to a heady mix of enemy fighters, flak and searchlights, together with the antics of an aircrew, trying to live a normal life when not airborne.
