This second edition of Historical Dictionary of Finland not only updates the previous edition but also expands its coverage. It reveals a historical picture of the country through a chronology, a list of acronyms and abbreviations, an introductory essay, appendixes, a bibliography, and hundreds of cross-referenced dictionary entries covering important people, places, events, institutions, locations, and aspects of politics, economy, society, and culture.
