HIV/AIDS in China - The Economic and Social Determinants

With South and East Asia possibly becoming the epicentres of the global HIV/AIDS pandemic #xE2;#xAC;#x1C; catching up with South Africa and India as countries with the highest number of infections, this book provides a comprehensive analysis of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in China. Paying particular attention to broader issues, it examines the nature and impact of current economic and social changes and how these changes may be driving the epidemic. It explores key aspects such as: income and gender inequality migration and commercial sex work (CSW) health care reforms and the role of NGOs general government policy.
