Hope and Prey

A date with destiny isn't what Kurt Reid has in mind the night he enters the "alley of convenience" he uses to meet informants. Yet destiny is what he finds in the crumpled form of a young woman. Kurt approaches slowly, and moments later he finds himself lying flat on his back. Kurt has just met Andrea "AJ" Summers, someone he senses is no ordinary woman. Lovely and likable, AJ possesses other qualities that some see as dangerous. She's smart, brave, and very good with a gun. And though she tries to deny it, AJ admires, in Kurt, the same quality she possesses...fierce independence. When AJ joins the underground newspaper Kurt works with, they soon learn that one of the criminals they are seeking is hunting AJ.
