Humour and Other Causes of Death

Although you have set your sights on improving your emotional intelligence, and you strive every day to keep your momentum, there comes a point when you can relax and just laugh at yourself, your nutty thinking and those around you - those who do not value your ambition for higher emotional intelligence as much as you do. Humour and other causes of death is a chronicling of real-life eavesdropped conversations, narratives, tales, quotations and phrases that have moved me so much that I just had to keep some kind of record. I used to trust my memory, alone, to remember all of the inane leaps of logic and irrationality I hear. But, even we who strive every day to address the obstacles to our improved emotional intelligence have to find a time for humor. Some days I hear so much nuttiness I can't possibly remember it all. Now I keep a record.
