Illustrated Codes for Designers: Residentialprovides an opportunity to clearly differentiate the teaching and learning of laws, codes, regulations and standards for residential environments, positioning the information in a format that encourages active learning and addresses use of codes as integral to standard design processes. This work explains and then builds upon those requirements, bridging use of laws, codes, regulations and standards and how they affect the interior designer or different project types and at varying phases of the design process of a project. The interactive CD-ROM and text provide an active learning environment of the major forces regulating design of one and two-family dwellings, providing overview, history and context within the process for both new and existing construction. This work is designed as a robust textbook as well as a 'just-in-time' reference guide.
