Improvement of Buildings' Structural Quality by New Technologies: Proceedings of the Final Conference of COST Action C12, 20-22 January 2005, Innsbruck, Austria

COST Action C12 was launched in 2000, and since then about 100 scientists from 21 of the 35 COST member countries contributed to its success. The main objectives were to develop, combine, and disseminate new technical engineering technologies; improve the quality of urban buildings; propose new technical solutions to architects and planners; reduce the disturbances of the construction process in urban areas, and improve the quality of living in the urban habitat. This volume contains the proceedings of the COST C12 Final Conference held in Innsbruck, Austria. The book reflects the views from experts on topics such as mixed building technology, structural integrity under exceptional actions, and urban design.
