Jessica Burkhart is twenty-two years old and a full-time freelance writer in New York City. Jessica was a competitive rider when she was younger, but she developed scoliosis so severe that her spine started to grow into her heart. Thankfully, she had a spinal fusion and has mode a slow, but complete recovery. She was devastated when she was told she could never ride horses again. For years, she avoided even writing about them. Canterwood Crest has given her an opportunity to live vicariously through her characters and experience riding again.
