Patricia Justino is Deputy Director of the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER), and Professorial Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies. Her expertise lies at the intersection of development economics and political science, with a focus on political violence, institutional transformation, and governance's impact on development outcomes. She co-founded the Households in Conflict Network and leads research initiatives funded by entities such as the European Commission and the United Kingdom's Economic and Social Research Council.
