He is the author of the popular prostate cancer book Thrive, Don't Only Survive and has co-authored numerous books on natural medicine in urology and men's health. Janet Mindes, PhD is Faculty and Director of Research Instruction and Development at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City. A research psychologist/neuroscientist, she received her BA from Harvard University and her PhD from New York University in experimental psychology. Dr. Mindes has over twenty-five years of experience in psychological and neuroscience research and education, with a focus on integrative medicine (IM) since 1998, particularly as relevant to the brain, emotion and neuropsychiatric conditions. From 1998 to 2007, she was a member of the former Rosenthal Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (P&S) in New York City and was active in other research and educational efforts at Columbia P&S until 2015.
