International Antiques Price Guide 1998

In this, the 19th edition of the guide, 10,000 new photographs are featured, showing antiques that have sold in all areas of the trade - antique shops and auction houses, markets and fairs. The emphasis is very much on pieces that are affordable and readily available, with many items from the 19th and early 20th centuries. All the major collecting areas are given thorough coverage, including furniture, ceramics, clocks, dolls, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. In this year's edition special attention is given to glass, silver, watches, Moorcroft pottery, lamps and lighting, rugs and carpets, jewellery, ephemera and marine antiques. There is a new section on Islamic works of art and an appealing feature on chairs made for children.
