The Iron Star and What It Saw on Its Journey Through the Ages

John Preston True (1859-1933) was an American author. His works include: Their Club and Ours (1883), Shoulder Arms (1889) and The Iron Star and What it Saw on its Journey Through the Ages (1899). He also wrote Scouting for Washington (1900), Morgan's Men (1901), On Guard! Against Tory and Tarleton (1902) and Scouting for Light Horse Harry (1911), four connected stories called The Stuart Schuyler Series after the fictional youth Stuart Schuyler who appears in all of them. Many of his books were illustrated by his wife Lillian Crawford True.
