Sci fi, romance, mystery and adventure come together in a tale about a team of scientists and researchers working on a daring top secret project on a mysterious island. They are about to take a strange journey, and Captain Roy Powell finds himself trapped in their adventure. He and two women make choices which have unfortunate consequences for all three. Meanwhile, the actions of the project team also lead to trouble, and they try desperately to prevent the tragic consequences.Gina is a brilliant Italian physicist who has little time for anything but her work, and Sophie is a psychologist who understands everyone but herself. Most of the two dozen team members believe in the project, but a few have come to escape capture or to make money. Another member of the team is there only because her father is one of the project's financial backers, a mistake even before their dangerous research begins.Scientists and researchers are often at odds, but all work together to try to correct the mistakes of a few.
