Ivor Gurney: 80 Poems or So

In this edition, George Walter and Kelsey Thornton have reassembled the 80 Poems or So of Ivor Gurney and present it in its entirety for the first time. Of its 86 poems, 32 are previously unpublished, 20 are uncollected, and many others are published in new versions. Full supporting material, contextualising the collection, is also included, along with detailed textual and explanatory notes.
Filling the gap between Severn & Somme and War's Embers and Best Poems and The Book of Five Makings, 80 Poems or So gives new clarity to our view of Gurney's position in 1922 and enriches our understanding of his progress from the trenches to the asylum.
