Meet Izzie! While Izzie is amazing at soccer, she struggles with reading. Thankfully, she makes a new friend, Reggie, who helps her with reading while she helps him with soccer! Together, they overcome their struggles and help each other be their best.

Shannon Wernemar is a children's book author who focuses on creatively telling stories about children with learning or social differences. She hopes her work inspires children to feel good about themselves as they identify with her characters.
Shannon currently lives in Southern California as a wife and proud mother to four children and two dogs.
Kseniia Kudriavtseva (ILLUSTRATOR)
Kseniia Kudriavtseva is a children's book illustrator whose work has been published internationally, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, and China.
While her creative journey began in 2016, Kseniia's love for stories began in childhood, when her grandmother used to tell her vivid stories before bedtime. Through those moments and stories, Kseniia learned to feel life in all its forms—an experience that deeply shaped her way of seeing and illustrating the world.
Life with her husband Alex, son, and their dog fills her work with warmth and tenderness. It's important to Kseniia that her work not only pleases the eye, but also tells stories about meaningful things—love, family, comfort, kindness, inclusivity, empathy, multiculturalism, mindfulness, love for life, and care for our planet.
Outside of her illustration work, Kseniia enjoys reading, exploring niche perfumery, film therapy groups, skiing, and the simple rituals of making pancakes and coffee. All of her passions naturally find their way into her illustrations—adding humor, coziness, and emotional depth.
