Having a baby was the greatest gift that Julie could've been given. Going through a clinic, that didn't perform an ultrasound on her, turned out to be disastrous. She didn't know until her Jason was 4 months old that he was going to face many challenges with no understanding of what was happening to him. He had so many diagnoses that the doctors just said that he had Cerebral Palsy. Evidently, that was an encompassing title that included hydrocephalus, mental retardation, tongue thrust, spastic muscles, scoliosis, blindness, reflux and inability to chew solid foods. Then you add a young mother that thought she knew it all and learned very quickly that she knew nothing about being a mother. Julie didn't sugar-coat any of what Jason or she went through. This story is heartbreaking, inspiring, educating, deeply honest and uplifting all at the same time.
