Tina K. Ramnarine is Professor of Music at Royal Holloway, University of London. Following a career as an orchestral violinist she has held academic appointments in music and anthropology. Her books include Ilmatar's Inspirations: Nationalism, Globalization, and the Changing Soundscapes of FinnishFolk Music (Chicago University Press, 2003) and Global Perspectives on Orchestras: Collective Creativity and Social Agency (Oxford University Press, 2018).
