Jennifer Lawrence

Actress Jennifer Lawrence (b. 1990) was recently chosen to play the lead role (Katniss Everdeen) in the first movie installment of The Hunger Games to be released in 2012. The movie is based on the novel trilogy of the same name by Suzanne Collins which has been a bestselling phenomenon. Previously, she has had lead roles in TBS's The Bill Engvall Show and in the independent films The Burning Plain and Winter's Bone, for which she received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
