Jim Ruzicka Etiology of a Serial Killer

In 1974, Seattle, Washington was shocked by a series of brutal sexual assaults and two grisly murders. When the perpetrator was finally caught, he would be tried and convicted for the murders of two young girls. Jim Ruzicka, over the period of six years, became comfortable speaking about the exact details of each murder and what caused him to commit such violent and heinous acts of violence.

At a time when the nation was preparing to celebrate its Bicentennial Independence Day, before Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy's serial murder sprees would become common knowledge, Jim Ruzicka was already serving time for murder. If it were not for a brave young girl and a few mistakes made by Ruzicka, he likely would have gone on to kill many more girls.
