Kantian-inspired approaches to ethics are a hugely important part of the philosophical landscape in the 21st century. Still, the lion's share of the ink spilt in service of these approaches is to be read in work at the theoretical level. Moreover, when we survey the merely practical ethical problems addressed by Kantian thinkers, we do not often find sustained attention being paid to issues in military ethics. This collection fills that gap and presents a sampling of how an ethicist that takes Kantian commitments seriously might address controversial questions in the profession of arms.
