Keisha on the Case

On the surface Keisha Johnson appears to be a rather ordinary 7th grader at Jefferson Jr. High. Like many 13yr old girls her days are spent babysitting, studying martial arts and hanging out with friends. Okay, the martial artsmight be a little different, but not nearly as different as her family secret. For many generations her mother's family has worked hard to hide the magic that pops up every now and again on the family tree.This time around Keisha is the winner of the genetic lottery, and also the one who lets the secret get out. As they'd always feared the knowledge is used against her, and forces Keisha and her friends to begin the adventure of a lifetime. In order to find and free a classmates parents, Keisha and companymust search the entire city of Oceanside, California. In the process clues are found, battles fought, but in the end it all comes down to the luck and resolve of one young woman and the gifts she's tried so hard to ignore.
