La musica del hambre/ The Music of Hunger

Ethel Brun is the daughter of an exile married couple, Justine and Alexandre, a restless man who was handsome and very young when he left the island of Mauritius, to move into the lively Paris of the twenties and thirties, where he squandered his inheritance on monkey business. In her childhood, Ethel enjoyed only her walks through town with his grate-uncle, the eccentric Samuel Soliman, who dreamed of living in the India pavilion built for the French Colonial Exposition.
