ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this research is unveiling what really happened in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, back in 2011. Told from the protagonists’ perspective, from their core, at a place once thought “ground zero” in the war against drugs.

The terror described by the journalist calls for immediate questioning: Which characters in political and economical spheres are behind organized crime? When could we be extorted, kidnapped, or abducted by the narco? This book will reveal that abducted youngsters, taken from passenger buses, weren’t the only victims, but that there are many more: the student who saw how they took immigrants daily in front of her school; the mother from El Salvador who was sent her son’s body; the journalist who couldn’t publish his work; the doctor who helped tortured survivors; the mothers who stayed behind to search for their missing children; the coroners who realized the magnitude of the massacres they were concealing, to mention but a few.
