In 2003 Norman's book, In Flanders Fields, won Australia's most prestigious award for children's books, the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award. James Foley is a former cartoonist for Australia's Quokka newspaper. He is a member of the Australian Cartoonists' Association, the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and the Australian Society of Authors.
