Learn to Crochet Mandalas

Join crochet expert Lena Skvagerson as she guides you through the completion of the beautiful Cape May Mandala Afghan! In this video class you'll learn how to: crochet basic stitches as well as increases and decreases, work into back loops and make double and treble crochet clusters, create bobbles and front post treble stitches that add interesting texture, attach the wall mandala to a metal hoop, make the side panel and straps for the purse, and assemble all of the pieces.

Lena Skvagerson was born and raised in Sweden and moved to the United States in 2007. She learned to crochet and knit at age 5, made her first sweater at age 15, and created her first knitwear collection at age 17! Lena worked for a Scandinavian yarn and design company for 25 years. In 2014, she joined Annie’s as a full-time knit and crochet designer. Lena is lead designer for Annie’s exclusive pattern collection, Annie’s Signature Designs.
