Learn-O-Grams Pictorial Puzzles to Warm Up, Wind Down, and Energize Learning: w/CD-ROM

This book offers trainers and facilitators a guide to using Learn-O-Grams— visual puzzles that encourage the use of both the left and right brain. The puzzles can be used in a variety of ways: combine a number of puzzles—they come in varying degrees of difficulty—to create an instant competitive or cooperative team game; use them as ice-breakers or energy jolts; or as a device to stimulate participant's in preparation for formal, subject-specific content. Planning and creative problem solving skills are necessary to coordinate and solve the puzzles, which are presented in sets of increasing difficulty. Corporate trainers can use this book with teams or groups of all sizes from small workshops to large-scale presentations. As a team-building device, Learn-O-Grams encourage groups to become more open, vulnerable and alert to the needs of each other. Ron Roberts teaches Management, Leadership and Communication at Penn State University in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. He is President of Action Centered Training, an Eagleville, Pennsylvania-based corporate team building and custom training organization. Roberts is the inventor over more than fifty games, and holds six game-design patents.
