A Lesson Learned

After being in their new home for over one week, Allison asked her mother if she could go out to find friends. Allison longed for a friend and could not wait any longer to find someone to play with. Her mother allows Allison to venture out to find friends but warns her to stay away from the lake in the middle of the forest due to a very dangerous alligator. Allison agrees but when she finds that every friend she makes wants to play in that same lake, she is left confused. Does Allison continue to listen to her mother's direction or does she decide to follow her own?
