Let Us Reason Together : Christian and Jews in Conversation

Since 2005, representatives of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the National Council of Synagogues have engaged in a series of consultations focused on understandings of the relationship between Christians and Jews. Invited pastors and rabbis, scholars, and theologians from each faith community met to share their wisdom and experiences in hopes of discerning more clearly the issues that unite us and those that cause tension between us.

Joseph D. Small is director of Theology Worship and Education Ministries of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). He holds degrees from Brown University, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Louisville Theological Seminary. He is the author of several books, including Preservation of the Truth, part of the Great Ends of the Church series, and has written numerous journal articles, study series, and theological papers. Gilbert S. Rosenthal is executive director of the National Council of Synagogues. He served as a pulpit rabbi for thirty-three years and as executive vice president of the New York Board of Rabbis for ten years. He is the author and editor of eleven books, including Contemporary Judaism and The Many Faces of Judaism.
