L'idee De Theodicee De Leibniz a Kant

The contributions in this volume study the development of the theodicy after Leibniz in the German tradition up to Kant. Divided into three major sections - heritage, transformations and criticism - they explain the nature and scope of theodicy as conceived by Leibniz, show how the question of theodicy in the following was taken up and discussed within the context of the "optimism" controversy, and finally demonstrate the development of Kant's refutation of a "dogmatic" theodicy.
