Lighthouse Dog to the Rescue

Based on actual events, Lighthouse Dog to the Rescue tells the story of Spot, the friendly dog of a lighthouse keeper's family. He accompanies his master on all the rounds of the lighthouse, even pulling the rope to ring the lighthouse bell. One day, a severe winter storm cripples the lighthouse. Fortunately most of the boats have returned safely to harbor - all except the mailboat, lost in the cold and snow and seeking a safe channel to the harbor. It is Spot who hears the boat's motor and saves the day when his excited barking is loud enough to guide the mailboat captain home. Beautiful illustrations bring this charming tale vividly to life.
