LODI

Lodi is a cinematic collection of speculative tales where time, technology, and destiny intertwine. Each story dives into a different future, yet all are connected by one unshakable theme—the fight for freedom in every age.

In "Lodi," an aging man once bound by chains discovers a hidden power that could alter the course of history. "Future Sleep" explores a world where people escape reality through engineered dreams—until one sleeper wakes up to a nightmare that refuses to end. "The Urban Hacker" follows young tech rebels whose digital uprising forces them to choose between morality and survival. "The Neighbor Next Door" unearths the darkness behind suburban perfection, while "The House of Erebos" ventures into the unknown where science, spirit, and shadow meet.

Visionary and provocative, Marcus E. Carter's Lodi blends western grit, futuristic imagination, and timeless human struggle into one unforgettable journey through the past, the present, and the possible future—reminding us that freedom is the only battle that never ends.

Marcus E. Carter is a visionary storyteller who blends science fiction, Southern folklore, and spiritual truth into worlds that feel both timeless and futuristic. A native of Oakland, California, Carter writes with the soul of a poet and the precision of a filmmaker, crafting stories where legacy, technology, and freedom intertwine.

In his acclaimed collection Lodi, seven interwoven tales trace the unseen currents of history and destiny. From The Urban Hacker, where young rebels challenge the digital empire that governs money and morality, to Future Sleep, where a couple awakens from deep stasis only to find themselves plunged into an interstellar war, Carter stretches the boundaries of time, faith, and love. At the center stands Lodi itself—the story of an aging emancipated man whose life on a quiet farm holds the key to humanity's salvation on a distant future Earth.

Through his creative company Real Dreams Studios, Carter continues to expand his universe into film, podcasting, and AI-driven storytelling—blending human emotion with futuristic imagination. His work reminds us that even in the darkest timelines, freedom still finds its voice, and every generation must decide how far it will go to be free.
