Long Vowels Learning Mats

The Long Vowels Mats kit contains ten colorful two-sided game mats, 57 bees labeled with long-vowel words, and wipe-off crayons. Three blank bees are provided for use as additional game pieces or replacements, in case a labeled bee gets lost or damaged. Simply use a permanent marker to write the missing words on the piece. The kit is designed to meet the following key instructional goals: using letter-sound knowledge to identify words with long vowels distinguishing the long-vowel sound in words developing automaticity (fluency) in reading words with long vowels writing words with long vowels developing vocabulary For use with Grades K-2.
