Capetta holds a master of fine arts in writing for children and young adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts and, having spent their teens and early twenties in Northern California before stints in New York, Austin, Chicago, and Michigan, now lives in Vermont with fellow author Cory McCarthy and their young child.
