Childhood friends Toni and Beatrice face the many challenges that come along with womanhood. Their friendship is put to the test when Beatrice’s disloyalty to Toni is revealed.
High-maintenance Beatrice is searching for the rich man who will provide the lavish lifestyle she perceives as happiness. However, Beatrice’s perfect world is destroyed when Toni inadvertently finds the happiness that Beatrice has been longing for. Toni, a down-to-earth aspiring novelist, believes that love will come when it comes. Love shows up when Toni crosses paths with Kaseem White, the perfect man for Beatrice.
Kaseem White, a successful and wealthy investment banker is looking for the right woman to share his life with, and sets his sights on the woman who is the one. Toni and Kaseem's whirlwind relationship comes to a halt when Kaseem's secrets spiral out of his control, and he is forced to face the outcome of his deception.

Ayana Ellis was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She discovered her talent for writing while working as a legal assistant in some of New York City’s top law firms. When her short story, “Last Woman Standing,” was chosen to appear in the anthology Girls from the Hood Part 4 in 2007, and her first novel, Love Changes, was released that same year, her career as a writer took off.
