Madeline Payne : The Detective's Daughter

Emma M. Murdoch van Deventer, who wrote under the pseudonym Lawrence L. Lynch, was an American author, who published many detective novels from the 1870's to the early twentieth-century. Her works include: Shadowed by Three (1883), The Diamond Coterie (1882), Madeline Payne: The Detective's Daughter (1889), Moina: A Detective Story (1891), Out of a Labyrinth (1892), A Dead Man's Step: A Detective Story (1893), The Last Stroke: A Detective Story (1894), Against Odds (1894), No Proof: A Detective Story (1895), Under Fate's Wheel (1900) and Man and Master (1909).
