Israeli artist and filmaker Keren Cytter joins the new wave of artists expanding their expression to the written word in the intriguing, pseudo-noir "novel" inspired by her films. Each of the seven chapters in writtein in a distinct style, brings together the grotesque and the absurb to narrate the life of her protagonists, artist Jeff Steinberg. The recurring motif of scrambled film reels adds a commentary on the malleability of the medium of film. A Cytter writes, "He lifts the bag that's dripping with small chunks of phlegm from the sides and says, Tomorrow at Christie's."
