This exciting new addition to the Routledge Studies in Health Management series concentrates on the management of the public health function and how it is different from the management of clinical work. The authors provide a unique comparative perspective on the issues of health improvement and the struggle between the needs of acute care providers such as hospitals and those that provide preventative measures to promote health.
