"You never enjoy the world aright till the sea itself floweth in your veins, till you are clothed with the heavens and crowned with the stars: and perceive yourself to be the sole heir of the whole world, and more so, because men are in it who are every one sole heirs as well as you." Thomas Traherne Many years ago we gave the great English calligrapher and illustrator Marie Angel a selection of quotations. They were all of spiritual import. She studied them and finally selected this small group, saying, "I see these. I can find visuals for these, and I can make the words fit within them." We are proud to present her resultant exquisite paintings as a series of inspirational greeting cards. The images reflect Angel's unique ability to capture the power and beauty of the natural world in a reflective, tranquil tone. The accompanying quotations rendered in Angel's lovely calligraphy as an integral part of the each image are from a diverse group of authors familiar and less so including Walt Whitman, John Dryden, Christina Rossetti, and Dostoyevsky.
