While the newlyweds, Walter and Cecilia Montoya, are on their honeymoon, Cecilia's widowed father disappears. When two elderly men in the area are found dead in their own homes from no apparent cause or motive, the young couple's concern grows. During the autopsies, a curious tattoo found on the bodies leads the police to believe there is an underlying conspiracy related to the deaths. When Cecilia's husband, Detective Walter Montoya, Jr., returns home and tries to take the case, he is denied for conflict of interest. He decides to enlist the help of their longtime friend, Jillian Bradley, to find Cecilia's father. With her keen insight, tenacity, and instincts from her faithful companion and sleuth-dog, Teddy, Jillian joins in with the victims' friends' and families' determination to uncover the bizarre plot, which threatens the lives of the vulnerable.
